Pinetop-Lakeside is located in the beautiful White Mountains of Northern Arizona, just south of Show Low.  Surrounded by pine trees, this small community offers a very different view of what Arizona is perceived to be. The town was founded in the early 1880’s by Mormon pioneers. Pinetop and Lakeside were originally two separate towns but they merged in 1984 to become Pinetop-Lakeside. Although it has a small population of 4,282 people, the community has many amenities to offer. These include excellent unique restaurants, a modern movie theater, and gorgeous golf courses; all of which ensure that one will never be left without something to do. The town is also the hub of the outdoors adventures that the White Mountains has to offer. Fishing, hunting, hiking, and biking are a few of the many activities one can experience. In the winter many enjoy sledding and ice-fishing. For the skiers and snowboarders, Pinetop-Lakeside is conveniently located only 32 miles from Sunrise Park Resort, Arizona’s premier ski resort. The town is located near Northland Pioneer College, a community college that offers several different associates degrees. Although many see this area as merely a weekend escape from the city; because of all it has to offer, there is no reason not to make it a permanent home.
